Here is a list of the events available that may be of interest to walkers, joggers and runners. Links to entry forms are included where possible.

Note that the Walk Moray Events and Jog Moray Events sections contain more specific events and that the websites of Forres Harriers and Moray Roadrunners have comprehensive lists of local races.

Summer

Look out for our Moray 5k Summer Challenge which takes place in central Elgin this year on the morning Sunday 13 June. The course is flat and scenic and ideal for beginners. There will also be a 1.5k for Juniors and wheelchair users. The proceeds of this event will go to the 'Pinto' Sports Moray Fund, which especially supports disadvantaged young people to partake in sports.

2009

Winter

Walk, jog or run your way around our winter 5k challenge event, which is taking place for the first time in Fochabers on the morning of Sun 6 Dec 09. The route starts and finishes in the historic landscaped private gardens of the Gordon Castle Estate and is ideal for participants of all levels (age 16+). This year's event, hosted by JS Fochabers and Spey Runners, is in aid of Children First (more to follow).

The fourth Winter 5k to be held by the WJRM partnership saw almost 90 finishers make their way back to the scenic gates of the Gordon Castle Estate in Fochabers ( See 'Jog Moray Events' section for full results).

Summer

Moray 5K Summer Challenge >>
Get fit for summer by joining in the Moray 5k Summer Challenge. The route starts and finishes in Cooper Park and is ideal for participants of all levels (age 14+).

The third Moray 5k event saw around 135 people walk, jog, or run around the beautiful banks of the Lossie River in central Elgin using a new, more user-friendly route. (See Jog Moray Events section).
